Why use a direct hard money lender? It’s a common misconception that borrowers come to hard money lenders like myself for funding because they can’t qualify for conventional financing. I can understand why people think this, especially when conventional interest rates are 4%-6% and I charge 10%+. The reason is simple, they come to me for the speed and efficiency. Hard money loans aren’t meant to be outstanding for very long, which is why I fund a lot of fix and flips.
